Silver Bunching After Chlorine Gas Exposure

Here is an example of silver step bunching. Upon exposure to chlorine gas, the steps on a silver surface, which were more or less randomly spatially distributed across the surface, bunch together into larger arrays of steps. A chart illustrates the process. Image size is 4000 angstroms x 4000 angstroms.
