Installation

Before using Solid State Resources you must have installed either Netscape Navigator 4.0 or higher or Microsoft Internet Explorer 4.0 or higher, QuickTime 4 and Acrobat Reader. The latest version of these components are available freely on the World Wide Web (WWW). See the download page. QuickTime 4 and Acrobat Reader with Search installers are available on the Solid State Resources CD-ROM in the Installation folder. Follow the instructions below to install QuickTime 4 and Acrobat Reader from the CD:

To install QuickTime 4:

Windows

1. Open the Windows folder inside the Installation folder of the Solid State Resources CD.
2. Double click the QuickTime Installer.exe icon and follow the directions on the screen.

Macintosh

1. Open the Macintosh folder inside the Installation folder of the Solid State Resources CD.
2. Double click the QuickTime Installer icon and follow the directions on the screen.

To install Acrobat Reader 4:

Windows

1. Open the Windows folder inside the Installation folder of Solid State Resources CD.
2. Double click the installer file icon, RS405ENG.EXE, and follow the directions on the screen.

Macintosh

1. Open the Macintosh folder inside the Installation folder of the Solid State Resources CD.
2. Double click the Reader+Search 4.05 Installer icon and follow the directions on the screen.
