The ACS Hach Professional Development Grant is open for applications. The grant funds professional development for high school teachers that will enhance your teaching skills and improve the learning of your students. Up to $1500 of professional development expenses may be covered by the ACS Hach Professional Development Grant. The professional development activities must take place by August 1, 2020.

What would that look like for you? Have you been wanting to attend a Modeling InstructionTM workshop? Maybe you are hoping to attend the Biennel Conference on Chemistry Education (BCCE2020.org) that will be held at Oregon State University July 18 - 23 next summer.* Whatever your preferred professional development is, this is an excellent opportunity that you do not want to miss.

Covered expenses include

  • Conference or workshop registration fees

  • Travel expenses

  • Tuition and educational expenses

  • Books and online instructional resources

  • Substitute teacher

Applications will be accepted through January 4th, 2020

Find the details on the Hach Professional Development Grant page. The first step is to read the Application Instructions & Application Checklist.

If looking for a grant to purchase classroom supplies, apply for the ACS Hach High School Chemistry Classroom Grant instead. The application window for that grant is February 1 - April 14, 2020.
