The College Board released a new framework for the AP chemistry course that teachers are using this year. The new curriculum emphasizes big ideas, enduring understandings, and science practices.
The Journal of Chemical Education has put out a call for papers for a special issue intended to serve as a forum for the sharing of ideas, best practices, perspectives, and recommendations for action as the K-12 and higher education communities consider the implications of the AP course redesign.
Submission Deadline is January 6, 2014.
